  1. Great book, as usual. One thing though, I think it’s time you take Verus up a power level. Sure he kicks ass, but more often than not he ends up about to get annihilated, then someone pops up to save him. I know a part of the charm of the series is how he survives and succeeds despite being outclassed, but you’re 9 books in, it’s time for him to start taking out some big guns.

Fantastic job, as always! The ending just killed me – poor Anne! And I can’t wait to see how Alex handles his new… well, you know. 😉

Love the series but in the new book has a couple problems. It seems you are trying to drag the romance out with Anne like this book series is a teen angst TV show with ratings to watch out for. Also with a jinn in Anne it seems you are screwing over Verus too hard. You already have one crazy obsessed girl following Richard’s every word so it was implausible that Anne would ignore Alex’s years of warnings about Richard to be influenced enough by him to ignore Alex about not touching the object that made her a jinn host. Verus as a diviner has trained his friends to within seconds head his dire warnings but in this book after long conversation she didn’t avoid it which is stupid.

    Another wonderful book. Thank you!!!

Amazing! Best in the series, and I’m a huge fan already. After reading this last book, I want an Alex Verus T -Shirt. I don’t care if it’s cheesy, haters can kiss my butt, but I want a T shirt. Think about it, Mr. Jacka.
