I’m still in the process of redesigning the website (hoping to have it done by the release of my new novella this Friday) but in the meantime, here’s a brief bit of news for my German readers!
As some of you might know, the Alex Verus books have been doing very well in their German translation – books 1-6 have already been translated and published, and books 7-12 should follow over the next few years. As a result, I’ve been invited to a German digital book fair (Buchmesse Saar) which’ll be taking place this weekend. I’ll have a one-hour slot this Saturday, June 19th, at 3.30 PM German time, which you can find here. Mostly it’s just an opportunity for me to talk to and answer questions from my German readers, so hope to see some of you there!
From that website, it looks like the Q&A will be in English? 🙂 (I’ll be nice and quiet – for once – and let your German readers ask questions, but it would be fun to watch if it’s in English. 🙂
Well, if it’s in German, the Q&A is going to be pretty awkward . . .
Lol!!! Well, you could always fake it. 😉 I thought my mom spoke German for years because we would watch old war movies and she would pretend to translate the German. Took me a decade to figure out she was making things up. 😉
I´m looking forward to tomorrow! I´ll be there!
Got quite some questions for you, haha
I just hope that my english won´t fail me..
Ok so the quote of the day is “No more spider questions!” Lol. 😉 That was fun though. Thanks for doing it, Benedict. Now I’m wondering what book they are up to in Germany? They may have said the number but I missed it.
They’ve just published number 6. Number 7 is coming out this year, and the plan is to release two a year until they’ve caught up.
It was awesome to see a live interview! I was also pleasantly surprised by how easy you were to understand… sometimes I have to turn on subtitles for British accents. Like I love the new Loki show, but Tom Hiddleston does require subtitles for some of his dialogue!
