The German translation of Alex Verus continues to move along – this week’s release is volume #8, Bound. It’s coming out on May 16th in paper, ebook, and audio.
The German editions are being released at a steady rate of one every six months, so with this, we should be almost exactly two years from the release of Book #12!
Got the book on the first day, finished it a few days later – now I need to figure out how to be patient enough until February 2023 Best books I read in years!!
About 15 years ago, I read a translated book and then I read it again, in English. To practise, I guess. After that, whenever a book was originally written in English, I read it in English. I just don’t get the vibe reading an English-based book in German. And I believe, that some things get lost by being translated.
I started the series a couple of years ago before #8 was published. Then I’ve been reeaally busy for years and only now did I realise that there are more books to consume, whoop whoop! So I’m currently re-reading the first 7 books, and again, I’m hooked! As a diviner adept myself, I can see that the future of me having a massive book hangover is settled ;D

Hey there! Just wanted to say, I love your work! Not just as in “your books are really amazing” but also as in “Those are the books, that I read when feeling depressed”. The adventures of Alex inspired me to start writing myself and still do! Your Storytelling is amazing, your world is amazing and the cast is just a blast! I’ve allready preorderd the upcoming book in the german translation (the people who design your covers really deserve a raise! xD) and I know, that I need to ration it. Otherwise, I would read it in one sitting. But tbh, that wouldn’t make a difference, because re-reading your books is just as good (if not better) as reading it for the first time.
