And the first draft of the sequel to An Inheritance of Magic is complete! No title yet, though it’ll probably be something in the same vein (An X of Y). This has been a long one – 7 months from beginning to end. Over the next week I’ll give the manuscript an edit and then send it off to my publishers, but right now, I really need a break. Going to take the weekend off.
Wow! This (I mean chapter 2) is good stuff. At first I just want to have a peek at how it continues, but reading it to the end, I almost forgot to get off the bus. Can’t wait for the book to come out. Instant buy from me.

Wow, this series already seems darker than Alex Verus. If this is the beginning i shudder to think what happens to the protagonist by the end of even the first book
Congrats on finishing the second book! I enjoyed the first chapter so much. I knew it would end up being torture to start the story before the actual release (you’re quite evil to release these tidbits and leave us hanging) but suppose I’m responsible for my own actions. Sigh. Now on to Chapter 2. Ah – and loved the Drucraft background pieces also.
The first two chapters are terrific. So good I’m trying to figure out how, as an American, I can get the hardback copies.
