We’re now a bit under three months away from the release of An Instruction in Shadow, the sequel to An Inheritance of Magic. Which means it’s time for me to sign some copies!
Just as with An Inheritance of Magic, Orbit UK have arranged a signed edition deal with The Broken Binding. There’ll be 500 signed hardback copies of An Instruction in Shadow sold via their website (orders and pre-orders aren’t available as yet, but I’ll let you know when they are). Of course, before they can sell them, I have to actually sign them . . .
. . . which takes a surprisingly long time. I remember thinking when I did this last year that now I understood why doctors and accountants end up with such illegible signatures.
In the meantime, I’m working away on Book 3. It’s currently up to around 80,000 words and I’m on the last section – I’m hoping to finish in about 3 weeks. I’ve got several more Beginner’s Guide to Drucraft posts planned, but finishing the book takes priority, so I’m unlikely to write any more worldbuilding posts until the book is done.
Great news on book 3!
And maybe I can get one of the signed copies this time. I hope, they’ll ship outside the UK!
They definitely ship outside the UK, though it will take a little longer to get it. I got the ebook for actual reading, the audiobook for driving, and the special edition because it is gorgeous and the signature makes it extra-special.
I know they ship to the USA. They package the books well so they don’t get damaged in shipping.
Yay! Exciting news on both fronts! The special edition of book 1 was gorgeous. Thank you for doing this again. Whenever I sign credit card receipts in stores, the cashier asks if I am a doctor. No… I’ve just had horrible handwriting since kindergarten… too many books to read to waste time on legible handwriting! 😉
Can’t wait to order my copy! I have my Broken Binding copy of Inheritance of Magic framed alongside my Earphones Award. Such a beautiful design!
