A Judgement of Powers – Release Schedule

Book #4 in the Inheritance of Magic series is into its final section, but right now the main even that’s coming up is the release date for Book #3, A Judgement of Powers.  So here’s the release schedule!

• September 12th (next week) – Chapter 1 released online
• October 10th – Chapter 2 released online
• November 4th – A Judgement of Powers is released worldwide
• November 13th – Reddit AMA

In between will be other posts – I’ve had a few Beginner’s Guide to Drucraft articles planned for a while, but they’ve had to be put on hold since Book #4 is behind schedule.  This happens from time to time, sometimes because a book’s proving more difficult than usual, and sometimes because I just have too much on my plate.  In either case, I usually react by picking whichever jobs I consider lowest on my priority list and ignoring them for a while so that I can focus on the new book instead.  Website articles are usually fairly low on said priority list, so they tend to be the most likely victims.  I’ll try to catch up on them once the first draft of Book #4 is done.

Can’t wait! And your AMA’s are always so fun. 🙂

  3. Mike says:

YES! I can hardly wait until book 3 is out. Been following silently for too long, this is me shouting from the rooftops!

  4. Rebecca Newsome says:

Excellent news! Very excited for Book 3. Thank you.

  5. Welby says:

My overall impression is that this world features a less supernatural version of magic than the Verus-verse. I’m curious if that’s an accurate deduction, and if so is there anything from the previous concept that you find yourself missing from a storytelling perspective?

  6. Amy says:

I’m happy to hear I can read early chapters before my copy of Book 3 arrives. I’m even happier to know Book 4 is in progress. I was unaware of the Verus books, until I had read the Inheritance of Magic books and searched for others. I hope all these books are as enjoyable to write as they are to read.

    • Ed says:

      Amy!
I hope you enjoy Alex Verus novels
You be tied up for the next few weeks to months catching up reading his novels

  7. Bill says:

Thanks for the schedule and looking forward greatly to Chapter 1 next week. Also very pleased to hear that Book#4 is back on course and you are currently busy on the final section… (I hope that it wasn’t too hard a slog)
Time for some well-earned R&R when its done & dusted I hope!

  8. Kerrie says:

I am looking forward to A Judgement of Powers. I’m hoping that you will be having the special edition for book 3, similarly to what you did for books 1 and 2.

    • Celia says:

Same!!! The other versions are so pretty, and it’s cool to have the signed edition, though I know it’s a lot of work for you.
