Proofreading

A Progression of Demons, Book #4 in the Inheritance of Magic series, is at the proofreading stage.  This means I’ve got the final-ish file of the book, which in theory I’m supposed to read through to check for errors.  In practice by the time a book gets to this stage I’ve edited it something like five times already, and it’s very unlikely that I’ll catch any errors that the actual proofreader (paid by my publisher) is going to miss.  So I usually just do a quick check to make sure the edits have been implemented and call it a day.  It is nice to have a final set of checks, though.

    Glad that A Progression of Demons is moving towards completion of text (Not sure if there is a correct publishing word for this?) even if the release day has moved into 2027. So silly & I’m still angry about this delay!

    I trust that Book#5 is progr4essing well and that you be able to make 2027 a two Book Year!

    Quick practical question: how firm is the March 23 date at this point? Since I don’t have much in the way of specific dates for my annual leave allotment, I figured I might as well book one of my weeks for the day your book comes out, but I thought I’d check first whether this is one of those things where the date might still move a week or two in either direction and if I hang on for a couple of months it’ll be a lot firmer.
