An Instruction in Shadow gets its UK and worldwide release today!
As mentioned in the previous post, I think the Kindle/ebook versions came out a couple of days ago, so some of you will have received your copies already. But if you ordered a paper copy, today’s the day it’s out.
Really excited for this, I have just finished An Inheritance of Magic. Just wondering is it only the hardcover version of the book available? It states on Amazon that the paperback isn’t available until June 2025.
Yup, Orbit release the paperback versions much later than the hardback versions. The ebook and audio versions are available as of today, though.

The audiobooks are really good too, if you enjoy those. 🙂 I always grab the audiobooks too for driving, because the police tend to frown upon me trying to read while driving.
Speaking of which, Benedict, I had personally assumed “Johanna” was pronounce “Jo-anna.” Is “Yo-han-uh” correct, per the audiobook? 🙂

I just “finished” the audiobook for “An Instruction in Shadow”, does it really end with chapter 20? The end was so abrupt that I think maybe something is missing. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.
Yeah, it was just the way things worked out. I could have kept the story going but that would have led into something else, which would have led into something else, and so on. Since the resolution would have led into Stephen doing something else, there wasn’t a clear end point.
