French cover of Inheritance of Magic

Just got sent the draft cover for the French edition of An Inheritance of Magic this week!  Here it is:

It’ll be published by Bayard Editions on 27th January, 2027.

    Woooow! That looks so good! Hands down the best cover of them all.

    I like to imagine the places and the characters from the book in my head, but it isn’t always easy. I therefore appreciate this cover.

    It would be fun to see more illustrations from the book series.. Characters especially.

    Wow, that cover is… wild. They might want to fix Hobbe’s back passenger-side paw, which is standing off the edge of the book. I guess the portrait between the stairs is some Ashford ancestor…? Be cool if they had a portrait that resembled Charles Dance. 🙂

    I remember that you shared the news about a french translation in december 2023, and that the publishers were hoping to publish the book october 2025. Seems like a few delays happened? Exciting news either way!
